ABOUT THE VELS INSTITUTE

Vels Institute of Science, Technology & Advanced Studies is one among the premier educational institutions in India founded by Dr.Ishari K Ganesh, a visionary and an eminent educationist, in fond memory of his father Shri. Isari Velan, a former minister of Tamil Nadu. Vels group of Institutions was established in the year 1992 and granted Deemed to be University status by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India in 2008 (Under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956) and now running 30 educational institutions. This esteemed institution offers courses in multiple streams over the last 30 years such as undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in Medicine, Engineering, Management, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Maritime studies, Science and Humanities. VISTAS has been accredited with “A” grade by NAAC in its new regulation scheme and announced as mentor institution.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL OF LIFE SCIENCES

The School of Life sciences offer UG, PG, M.Phil & Ph.D programmes in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics with excellent infrastructure facilities including well- equipped laboratories and dedicated faculty members.

DEPARTMENT OF BIOTECHNOLOGY

Department of Biotechnology at VISTAS Chennai, was established as a new academic unit under University of Madras in 2002, with the objective of integrating life sciences with engineering and to develop cutting-edge technology through research, training and technological innovation. An independent Department of Biotechnology under VISTAS was established in the year 2008. Since its inception, the department has witnessed a consistent rise in the students demand for the subject. Keeping a beat to the global demands for researchers in this field, B.Sc, Biotechnology, M.Sc Biotechnology, M.Sc Applied Medical Biotechnology and Clinical Research, M.Phil and Ph.D Biotechnology programmes are being run by the department. The department has a team of young enthusiastic and well experienced qualified faculty actively involved in research and teaching

Guizhou University, a centennial university, originally established in 1902. In August 1997, it merged with Guizhou Agricultural College and some other institutions. In August 2004, it merged with Guizhou University of Technology. In December 2004, it became one of the higher institutions partially funded by the Ministry of Education and the Guizhou Provincial People's Government. In September 2005, it was listed as one of China's '211 Project' universities.

The University covers an area of 362.22 hectares. Its library has a collection of more than 3.81 million paper documents, including more than 2.4 million electronic books. The University offers a wide range of courses for 12 major disciplines such as literature, history, philosophy, science, engineering, agronomy, medicine, economics, management, law, education and art. Guizhou University has 40 colleges, with 34188 full-time undergraduate students and 12,202 graduate students. It is home to 4,022 faculty and staff members, including 2,676 full-time teachers.

Also, Guizhou University has 1 discipline selected for China's "Double First Class" Initiative, 1 national-level key discipline, 9 national first-class disciplines and 7 regional first-class disciplines. Currently, there are 17 first-level discipline doctoral programs, 52 first-level master's degree programs, and 24 professional master's degree programs.

Pursuing its goal of becoming an even higher-level university for those at home and abroad, the university is reaching to grasp the mantle of academic leadership in western China. The university is dedicating to fulfill its dream of becoming one of the leading universities in the country, taking great strides to rejuvenate the Guizhou Province.

Shinawatra University (SIU) is an international university in Thailand. It was established in response to the current needs of educating the young people to keep up with the global trends and the rapid changes in working culture, thinking and ways of doing things. To achieve the above objectives, the university has given importance to the selection of faculty, the creation of university buildings, dormitories, library, and communication networks so that study facilities, including the environment, can promote the learning atmosphere. Living comfort is emphasized to support learning and self-development.

Einstein Research Academy (ERA) is an international research academy established to create an international platform for academicians and researchers to exchange their knowledge and ideas. ERA is dedicated in promoting international collaboration by working closely with universities, faculties, research journals, industry experts and students, by facilitating international conferences, seminars, study tours, publication, and promoting research opportunities.

ERA is also committed to supporting scientific projects for schools, colleges, universities and other organizations, raising awareness on recent issues, and conducting courses for the benefits of the community.

Yinchuan University of Energy (hereinafter referred to as "the university") is located in Yinchuan, the capital city of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The University has 11670 full-time students, including 7541 undergraduate students and 5 overseas students. The University has three campuses: Wangtai Campus, Binhe Campus and Hequanhu Campus. It has a complete system of teaching, laboratory, training and public service. the university actively carries out various vocational skills training and appraisal for enterprises, urban and rural areas. It has helped more than 13,000 employees of enterprises, urban and rural labor forces. The university actively carries out cooperation in running schools with foreign countries, and has established long-term and stable cooperative relations with 12 foreign universities, making significant contributions to the foreign exchange and cooperation of higher education in Ningxia.

Xinzhou Teachers University is a provincial full-time general undergraduate college located in Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province, China. The school currently has 26 teaching units, 45 undergraduate majors, and 19,889 full-time students. The school currently has 1,306 faculty members, including 333 teachers with associate senior titles and above, 787 teachers with master's degrees and above, and 44 part-time doctoral students and master tutors. The school covers an area of 1,619 mu. It is the first batch of national-level "innovative experimental areas for talent training models" determined by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance of China. It has trained more than 85,000 graduates for the country, and the school has achieved good social benefits.

Southwest Jiaotong University Hope College is a full-time undergraduate college of engineering approved by Ministry of Education and found by Southwest Jiaotong University. The college has six teaching units, namely School of Railway Transportation, School of Civil Engineering, School of Business, Department of Foreign Language, Department of Foundamental Courses, and the Ideological and Political Theory Teaching Department, offering 50 specialties for students from 13 provinces and municipalities in China. The college currently accommodate more than 20000 full time students.

The college is guided by the “Four Mottos”, namely, cultivating the virtue and aspiration, pursuing pragmatic innovation, promoting the revitalization of nation, and striving to be stronger, and beliefs in harnessing the humanity-centric strategy for talents nurturing.

Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers, formerly Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Melioration (TIIM) or TIIAME is a university in Central Asia, which works for the development of the water industry, and supplies the country with professionals in this field. Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers is located in the Republic of Uzbekistan and consists of seven faculties which are Faculty of organization and management of water resources, Hydromelioration, Faculty of mechanization of hydromeliorative works, Faculty of power supply of agriculture and water management, Faculty of agricultural mechanization, Building of Hydro Technical Construction and the Faculty of land management.
